Lola Lauren DesJardins
Lola’s ambition to support the healing process of others started at a young age. While in college working towards a pre-med program, she was employed for three years as a technician in the emergency room at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. In the year following, she was an assistant to Dr. Thomas Cummins at Brownsboro Plastic and Hand Surgery. After completing her program in 2001 with a degree in chemistry from the University of Louisville, she felt her focus moving in a much different direction and shifted away from her planned career in western based healthcare. Eventually she reconnected to her path and fully invested in deepening her connection to Source, helping her to discover her true self and enabling her to facilitate healing for others through the practice of energy medicine.
Since 2013, Lola practices Tibetan Buddhist meditation, participates in Reiki Intensives with Master Reiki Teachers, attends meditation classes and yoga intensives, and devotes herself annually to four day Reiki Retreats. She is an Usui trained Reiki Master and continues to study under Frans Stiene, author, educator and co-founder of the International House of Reiki, with whom she recently completed an intensive retreat in Nara, Japan.
In 2022, Lola studied and received her certification as a Oneness trainer under the mentorship of Bonnie Bolin, master teacher. In summer of 2024, Lola completed her certification in Chakragraph Color Divination with Chakragraph founder Jamie Homeister and she completed her Yoga Teacher 200 hour certification under master teacher Alanna Kaivalya. In addition to her work in energy medicine, Lola works as a master barber at Crescent Haircraft in Crescent Hill.
Lola enjoys many activities such as traveling, hiking, gardening and herbalism, she plays the ukulele and guitar, practices many forms of meditation including mantra chanting, Zazen, and Vipassana. She enjoys doing anything that makes her smile, laugh, enjoy life and have fun! Lola is excited to embrace her calling as an energy practitioner at SoulWorks utilizing her unique gifts to support the healing journey and growth of others.
